Sustainability at Hotel Faber

Although we do not have a restaurant at Hotel Faber, we offer catering to our meeting participants in the form of fruit, food, snacks, and drinks.

Often there is food left over, which our staff are allowed to take home. The day's excess fruit is washed and comes in small "stop food waste bowls" that our guests can enjoy in the rooms. That way, we have virtually zero food waste in the house.

To make it easier for our increasing number of guests with electric cars, at Hotel Faber we will very soon offer parking spaces with the possibility of charging in our gated parking lot.

As Hotel Faber is a relatively new building, it has been built with an eye to energy efficiency and saving. Therefore, the building and its windows are well-insulated. All the lights in the house are LED and we have water-saving shower heads and nozzles in our bathrooms and kitchens.

We make demands on our business partners concerning sustainability and social responsibility. At Hotel Faber, we do not want to collaborate or associate with companies that do not see the climate and nature as a shared responsibility.

At our hotel, we sort our waste properly, with help from our guests. In addition, we are aware of the consumption of materials in connection with renovations and the like. Therefore, we save as much material as possible and use it for other projects in the hotel. For example, several of our signs are made from surplus kitchen cabinet doors.
